The Bottle Room
The Bottle Room is a place that offers anyone who walks in good food, good beer, and a great time with friends. Little did we all know, this restaurant was a childhood dream for four long time friends.
Owners Brandon Ibrahim, Pat Best, Tony Alcazar, and Brian Kiepler have all known each other since they were kids. Brian and Brandon are cousins and became friends with Pat and Tony when they were 13 years old. Pat and Brandon went on to become firefighters for LA County and Tony and Brian decided to go to culinary school together. Years down the road they brought their shared dream to life and opened The Bottle Room.
“Ever since we were kids we wanted to own our own restaurant. We love food, we love drinks and most of all we love the energy. Bottle Room started out with us just wanting to be able to start something new and exciting in uptown whittier. At the time there wasn’t really much going on and felt we had a great opportunity to spread the craft beer and food scene there.”
That’s exactly what they did. With cumulative inspiration they were able to create a place that is true to their craft, with a comfortable and fun environment, friendly service and affordable dishes and drinks.
With all the different places to visit in Uptown Whittier, The Bottle Room brings a uniqueness that is unlike any other. The owners believe in continually pushing themselves to stay fresh and ahead of the game with a food list that is ever evolving and food menus that change seasonally and are cooked daily. They don’t believe in making any shortcuts. They also strive to build strong relationships with amazing brewers and breweries, another reason why they always have the best beers on tap.
If your thinking about visiting, which you should, there are a few drinks and dishes that are their most popular and a must try. As far as beer goes, once a year they get a keg of Russian River Pliny the Younger. They said due to this beer's “cult following” this is their busiest day of the year. And if your looking for a great meal, look no further! Their most popular dish is their burger, and on their summer menu their pork belly tacos. On a personal note, I’ve had both of these dishes and there’s a reason why their a customer favorite, they’re amazing! Last, but certainly not least, on their winter menu the spaghetti bolognese is the big seller. They consider their menu to be very eclectic, and it definitely is, but honestly every dish I've tried has been delicious.
Moving forward they plan on continuing to nurture their restaurant and possibly even dive into involving liquor into the restaurant if they feel the time is right. And if you’ve never visited The Bottle Room before, here is what they want you to know…
“I feel that The bottle Room is the best place to eat a delicious meal with some of the best beers in the world. It is a great date night, a great college student hang out, its affordable and just straight up fun.”
And if you love The Bottle Room like we do, these owners (who without a doubt know what they’re doing) also have another restaurant in Old Town Pasadena called Harlowe’s French Dip. We’ll definitely be checking this place out!
